How to make a tree

Custom trees with saplings are easy to add to your mod using ModFoundry.

Log and leaf block​

You can specify which log block and leaves block to use for the tree. This can be any of the vanilla blocks, or your own custom log or leaves block:

Trunk​

There are a few different types of trunk that can be chosen for the custom tree. The trunk type will specify the shape of the trunk, and the height parameters will determine how tall the tree is.

Foliage​

There are a few different types of foliage for the custom tree. This will affect the shape of the foliage (leaves) for the tree, and the parameters can be used to change the radius, height, offset.

To create a sapling for the custom tree, simply specify an in-game name and choose a texture.
